WIETA is inviting applications


The Wine & Agricultural Ethical Trade Association (WIETA) is a voluntary multi stakeholder not for profit organisation based in Stellenbosch. WIETA promotes best practices in ethical trade and the sustained improvement of working conditions for workers within South African agriculture. WIETA is inviting applications for the following positions:  

ETHICAL FACILITATOR: WORKER DEVELOPMENT & MONITORING – FIXED TERM CONTRACT TILL 28 FEB 2017    
Responsibilities:  Seeking a young dynamic individual to identify, establish and facilitate worker training programs on farms and in cellars as well as set up and facilitate mechanisms for workers and their stakeholders to monitor ethical performance in the workplace.
Requirements:  2 – 5 years’ experience in community development and facilitation or training.  An appropriate post matric qualification is essential.  Good writing, communication and computer skills. Preferably has exposure to the agricultural or rural development sector. Must be able to travel within the Western Cape and have reliable own transport. Must be prepared to work over some week-ends. Must be multi lingual.

AUDIT SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR - FIXED TERM CONTRACT  
Responsibilities:  Maintaining the database of members, inputting all relevant data and information, tracking status and queries, reporting, handling audit administration activities. 
Requirements: Exposure to a social auditing environment is advisable. 2 – 5 years’ experience in audit or data base systems, data inputs and data management. Excellent computer skills.  Excellent writing skills and attention to detail required. Bi-lingualism required.   

AUDIT OFFICER – FIXED TERM CONTRACT   
Responsibilities: Moderate social audit reports. Monitor reporting quality. Identify high risk audit findings against standards and compliance requirements and report to Head of Standards and Certification. Perform compliance documentation and reviews and make recommendation for standards certification.   
Requirements: An appropriate Bachelor’s degree with a track record in social / ethical auditing  OR labour law/HR management. Excellent communication with fluently in English and Afrikaans. Good computer skills essential.   

Positions are based in Stellenbosch. The remuneration package and terms of employment will be negotiable based on experience.
